This communicator is designed to visualize all the possibilities offered by <strong>Asterics AAC<\/strong>. It is very important to emphasize that each person needs a communicator adapted to his or her abilities, characteristics, needs, environment, etc. <strong>We must always adapt the communicator to the person and not the person to the communicator<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This communicator has been designed with two communication options, combined together, representing the two most widely used methodologies as <strong>Augmentative and Alternative Communication Systems (AAC)<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Communicator with a <strong>core vocabulary distributed by categories<\/strong> and<\/li>\n<li><strong>core vocabulary<\/strong> type configuration &#8211; essential words.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <strong>main grid<\/strong> is the core <strong>vocabulary distributed by categories<\/strong>, although at the bottom right we have a cell, called Core 50, which leads us to the <strong>core vocabulary &#8211; essential words<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n<div see four buttons that offer very specific functions for<strong> editing or executing the communicator<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-95076\" description:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-93745\" <strong>Edit<\/strong> button allows us to <strong>edit the current grid<\/strong> to make modifications to the design, increase\/decrease the number of cells (elements), insert pictograms or images, activate function keys, etc.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-93750\" src=\"https:\/\/aulaabierta.arasaac.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Comunicador-Asterics-pictogramas-ARASAAC-27_en.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"40\"><\/p>\n<p>By clicking on the <strong>Input Options<\/strong> button, we can configure whether we want to use the <strong>mouse\/click<\/strong> (depending on whether we use a computer\/mobile device) or if we want to select different <strong>scanning<\/strong> systems, in the case of people with motor difficulties.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-93760\" Screen<\/strong> button allows you to <strong>run the communicator by filling the entire screen<\/strong> of the device without displaying any context menu or button. To return to the previous situation, we must press the Escape key (in the case of the computer) and in the case by dragging the finger up and down and pressing back (in the case of the mobile device).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-93760\" src=\"https:\/\/aulaabierta.arasaac.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Comunicador-Asterics-pictogramas-ARASAAC-29_en.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"40\"><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Lock<\/strong> button is used to make the <strong>Edit option and the Input Options disappear from the screen<\/strong>. In this way, the user cannot make modifications of any kind. These buttons are configured from the <strong>Global grid<\/strong>, whose operation will be explained in the following tutorials.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\"
