In addition, we can assign different control functions to the cells (elements) for the display of the videos.<\/p>\n<p>Below we show you an example of a grid in which several videos and the most basic control functions have been selected for viewing.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-94985 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/aulaabierta.arasaac.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Comunicador-Asterics-pictogramas-ARASAAC-85_en-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1586\" height=\"877\"><\/p>\n<p>To create such a grid we edit the cells and assign them different functions that appear in the <strong>Youtube Action<\/strong> submenu.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-94991 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/aulaabierta.arasaac.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Comunicador-Asterics-pictogramas-ARASAAC-84_en-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1048\" height=\"604\"><\/p>\n<p>As shown in the screenshot, different functions can be assigned to the <strong>Youtube Action<\/strong> cells (elements):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Play video<\/li>\n<li>Pause video<\/li>\n<li>Play \/ Pause video<\/li>\n<li>Restart video<\/li>\n<li>Stop video<\/li>\n<li>Step forward within video<\/li>\n<li>Step bakward within video<\/li>\n<li>Next video<\/li>\n<li>Previous video<\/li>\n<li>Show video in fullscreen<\/li>\n<li>Video volume up<\/li>\n<li>Video volume down<\/li>\n<li>Mute \/ unmute video<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To create such a grid, <strong>Edit<\/strong> a cell and right-click on it and select <strong>New YouTube player<\/strong> from the <strong>New<\/strong> submenu.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-95124 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/aulaabierta.arasaac.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Comunicador-Asterics-pictogramas-ARASAAC-88_en.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1592\" height=\"757\"><\/p>\n<p>Then a cell (element) appears on the grid that becomes the <strong>new YouTube player<\/strong>. By stretching the cell from the bottom right, we can enlarge the display size of our player.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-95135 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/aulaabierta.arasaac.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Comunicador-Asterics-pictogramas-ARASAAC-89-1_en-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1590\" height=\"743\"><\/p>\n<p>We recommend that once the video player has been created, you click on it with the right mouse button and select <strong>Edit<\/strong>. When the edit box appears, activate the option <strong>Prevent clicking on the YouTube player<\/strong> so that the user cannot modify the videos he\/she views.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-95140 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/aulaabierta.arasaac.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Comunicador-Asterics-pictogramas-ARASAAC-90_en.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1593\" height=\"767\"><\/p>\n<p>Next, we edit with the right mouse button one of the empty cells and select in the <strong>Actions<\/strong> tab the <strong>Youtube Action<\/strong>. We add this action to the Current Actions list and select the <strong>Play video<\/strong> option in the <strong>Youtube Action<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-95146 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/aulaabierta.arasaac.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Comunicador-Asterics-pictogramas-ARASAAC-91_en.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1052\" height=\"650\"><\/p>\n<p>Now, we must go to <strong>Youtube<\/strong> and copy the link of the video we want to play in our player. Once copied, paste it in the <strong>Video Link<\/strong> section.<\/p>\n<p data-wp-editing=\"1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-95151 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/aulaabierta.arasaac.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Comunicador-Asterics-pictogramas-ARASAAC-92_en.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"913\" height=\"337\">You can see that there are different configuration options that we can add from the tabs or from the check boxes. In order not to make this tutorial too long, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with these configuration options by performing some tests.<\/p>\n<p>Once the editing is finished and the link is inserted, click on <strong>OK<\/strong> and we have our first cell linked to <strong>Youtube<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-95162 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/aulaabierta.arasaac.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Comunicador-Asterics-pictogramas-ARASAAC-93_en.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1593\" height=\"753\"><\/p>\n<p>If we deactivate editing, we see that, when we click on this cell, the video is automatically played in the player window.<\/p>\n<p>Once we have the cells with the links to the <strong>Youtube<\/strong> videos, it is interesting to add some cells with <strong>Play Buttons<\/strong> that represent the actions mentioned above and that are available in the <strong>Youtube Action<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-95173 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/aulaabierta.arasaac.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Comunicador-Asterics-pictogramas-ARASAAC-94_en-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1588\" height=\"753\"><\/p>\n<p>In our example, we have assigned only five playback buttons: volume up\/down, play\/pause and full-screen video.<\/p>\n<p>The process of creating these buttons is very simple. We select one of the cells and click on the right mouse button. In the <strong>Youtube Action<\/strong> tab select, for example, <strong>Video volume down<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-95189 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/aulaabierta.arasaac.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Comunicador-Asterics-pictogramas-ARASAAC-95_en-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1049\" height=\"651\"><\/p>\n<p>When you click on this action, a new field appears showing the percentage of the volume that you want to assign to this action each time you click on the cell. By default, a 20% volume down is assigned. We can select the percentage we want.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-95184 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/aulaabierta.arasaac.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Comunicador-Asterics-pictogramas-ARASAAC-96_en.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1050\" height=\"647\"><\/p>\n<p>Once configured, click on <strong>OK<\/strong> and we have our cell for the volume down of the player.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-95194 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/aulaabierta.arasaac.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Comunicador-Asterics-pictogramas-ARASAAC-97_en.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1587\" height=\"753\"><\/p>\n<p>We only have to add the rest of the buttons and we complete our <strong>Youtube<\/strong> video player.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-95199 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/aulaabierta.arasaac.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Comunicador-Asterics-pictogramas-ARASAAC-98_en.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1587\" height=\"752\"><\/p>\n<p>In <strong>ARASAAC<\/strong>, we have prepared a collection of <strong>multimedia buttons<\/strong>, which you can insert in the cells of your grid. To view them and assign them to the cell, just go to the <strong>Image<\/strong> section and type the word <strong>button<\/strong> in the <strong>Image search<\/strong> field.<\/p>\n<p><img
