In this way, we can have a printed version of our grid\/grids with the same options with which it is configured. In that case, it does not give the option to generate the PDF not only with the selected grid but also with all the linked dashboards. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Insert links between pages:<\/strong> this option is interesting as it creates an interactive PDF in which the cells that have links to other grids show a number that we can click on to go directly to the page of that linked grid within the PDF.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Print background colour:<\/strong> if we are using the colour codes of the Fitzeral key in our communicator, we can activate this option so that the PDF is generated with these colours. If this option is not activated, the background colour of the cell will be shown as the default colour in the configuration for all the cells or in each cell individually. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Print Global Grid: <\/strong>this option allows us to generate the PDF showing or not the Global Grid in it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>In addition, it should be noted that if the Asterics AAC settings have f<strong>orced the text to upper or lower case<\/strong>, these settings will also be applied when generating the PDF.<\/p>\n<p>Our initial recommendation is that you perform different tests by saving in PDF format to check what happens using the different options. Although we have explained it in the previous chapter, we repeat it again.<\/p>\n<p>In this section we can <strong>Activate, Edit<\/strong> or <strong>Reset the Global Grid<\/strong>. It is easier to install the necessary dictionaries at the moment we import the copy in each of the devices we use.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Export user settings and input config:<\/strong> this option should be activated when you want to create a backup copy of a specific communicator for a specific user, as it preserves the colour configuration of the communicator and the cells, the text transformation, the language of the content or the input configuration (sweep or direct selection). If we want to create a more neutral copy that is valid for different users, we do not activate this option.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Export global grid:<\/strong> it is advisable to activate this option if we use the global dashboard and we want to keep the default configuration or the one we have been able to customise it with when restoring the copy. If we do not use the global grid or plan to create different global grids on the devices on which we restore it, we will not activate it.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Export in OBZ format:<\/strong> if this option is activated it will generate an OBZ file instead of GRD. OBZ is a standard format (Open Board Format) for the storage of boards that is recognised by other communicators.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In this case, a file similar to this <strong>arasaac2_2024-01-01_12-00_grid_name.grd<\/strong> or this <strong>arasaac2_2024-06-20_13-23_asterics-aac-custom-backup.grd<\/strong> is automatically downloaded. The name of the file includes the user name, the date and time and the name of the board (if only one is exported) or <strong>custom-backup<\/strong> if it is a board and the linked ones.<\/p>\n<p>4- <strong>Save grids to PDF<\/strong>: allows you to save the current board or all the boards in this format for later printing.<\/p>\n<p>5- <strong>Restore backup from file<\/strong>: this option allows us to import a backup with the .grd extension on our device.
