Project description:
ARASAAC,its resources and your collaborations cross new borders every day and the more it spreads, the more people benefit, communicate or access adapted activities, whose objective is to improve their quality of life and the personal and social autonomy of all these people.
The non-profit association J’aime Rever and the implementation of the CEE “Jacobo Romero Rivera”,located in Palmarin (Senegal).
Some time ago, Begoña and Jon contacted us to tell us about their experience in this school, built with a lot of effort to respond to the demand of the families of children with functional diversity excluded from the school system in this population. Due to the absence of specific materials to work with this population, Begoña and Jon adapted to the African reality in general and the Senegalese reality in particular, the pictograms of ARASAAC and other visual materials very useful for children with intellectual disabilities of different levels:
basic vocabulary of everyday life, speech therapy exercises, global reading activities, mathematics, stories, etc. With this great work, the J’aime Rever Society“claims the right to education of children and affirms the need to promote school and social integration for people with functional diversity”.
For our part, from ARASAAC,we congratulate them for this great work they do, we show them our maximum support and we transmit that they know where to find us to help them in everything they need.
How lucky is this society, so selfish at times, to have such generous and altruistic people as Begoña and Jon! You are very big!
