The College of Pharmacists of Seville has signed a collaboration agreement with the Marchena Autism Association with the aim that the pharmacy offices of the province facilitate the social integration of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and the people with difficulties in communication and cognitive accessibility, through the use of pictograms and other communication tools, that facilitate a more complete and effective interaction with these people, in order to be able to better serve your health needs.

In this way, the Autism Marchena Association will provide the College of Pharmacists of Seville with a series of pictograms (prepared by the Aragonese Portal of Alternative and Augmentative Communication, ARASAAC), organized in a communication board, which will identify the services and / or products available in Sevillian pharmacies. One of the essential objectives of this initiative is, apart from being able to improve the health care provided from the pharmacy, to help them improve their autonomy and quality of life.

The network of pharmacies in Seville, made up of 872 health establishments, can carry out a very important task of information, awareness and help familiesto recognize possible symptoms, given their capillarity and proximity, as well as the training of their health professionals.
