Project description:
The Working Group of Cognitive Accessibility and Easy Reading of Ceuta has developed material adapted with pictograms for the company: Marina Dog canine hairdresser.
The company contacted the work group because they were interested in having adaptations with pictograms to serve the public with comprehension problems and people with disabilities.
From the working group, the company’s rules have been elaborated and social stories have been made to indicate what a person should do when arriving at the hairdresser, that is, what steps he should follow from the moment he enters the hairdresser until he picks up his dog. The work carried out for this company aims to offer visual resources with pictograms for people with disabilities and for people who have comprehension problems.
This material has been made with pictograms from ARASAAC.
Likewise, the company has joined the Project “Put a pictogram on your door”. In the words of the owners “… all people have the right to understand the information provided by the environment. There are people who need an alternative system of communication. The commitment is not only for public services and buildings. Private companies can also contribute to creating a more accessible and comprehensive environment for all.”
