Project description:
MEMENTO is an old Carmelite monastery rehabilitated in 1949 to house the departmental archives and subsequently closed, waiting for a future.
In 2016, it became MEMENTO,a research and exhibition venue dedicated to dissemination, awareness-raising, research, experimentation and support for contemporary creation. The productions of unpublished works, exhibitions, films, concerts, conferences, seminars, artist residencies, mediations, territorial interventions are all ways to support artists and raise public awareness about current art.
MEMENTO welcomes during the summer both the irruption of the current regional and national panorama and more consolidated figures of contemporary creation. Artists are invited to produce original works and exhibitions, echoing the architecture and spirit of the place.
Within the actions carried out by the center, a guide to the artistic space in Easy Reading (LF) has been created with the support of pictograms from ARASAAC to facilitate the visit to all people and explain the origin and purposes of this space.
From ARASAAC, we want to convey our congratulations to all the professionals and the management of the center for this initiative and our gratitude for trusting in our pictograms to make the visit to the artistic space much more accessible through this guide.
