Project description:
In the Colloto Public School,a project of signage of school spaces. In order to carry out this project, the starting point was an awareness talk for 5th grade students about theimportance of accessibility to different spaces for all people.
The students were in charge of identifying the spaces to sign, at the same time that they began to define the access difficulties that any person could in their movements through the center.
Once these tasks had been carried out, the next phase was to prepare a bank of ARASAACpictograms with the necessary visual aids to place in each space. The place with the best visibility to place the pictogram was studied and, finally, the students divided into small groups were in charge of placing all the pictograms.
This activity has been carried out by thetwo teachers of Hearing and Language of the center(Carmen Bobes Feito and Ana Cuetos Rivera) together with the student of practices of the Cycle of Communicative Mediation of the Vinjoy Foundation (Ainoa del Pozo Riesgo)
From ARASAAC, we transmit our support and our recognition to the center and to all the people involved, especially the students for their great work. We hope that the example continues to spread.
Congratulations!
